The fort is located in the village Qila Zafargarh, near the Jind-Rohtak road. The rulers of the Jind princely state built this small fortress. It was mainly used by the rulers for the storage of arms, civil supplies, and training of the horses. Though the building was built as an outpost, the local people call it Qila.
