Jim Corbett National Park is a national park in India located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand state. The first national park in India, it was established in 1936 during the British Raj and named Hailey National Park after William Malcolm Hailey, a governor of the United Provinces in which it was then located. In 1956, nearly a decade after India's independence, it was renamed Corbett National Park after the hunter and naturalist Jim Corbett, who had played a leading role in its establishment and had died the year before. The park was the first to come under the Project Tiger initiative.

Hemkund Sahib formally known as Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Ji, is a Sikh place of worship and pilgrimage site in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, India. It is devoted to Guru Gobind Singh (1666–1708), the tenth Sikh Guru, and finds mention in Dasam Granth. With its setting of a glacial lake surrounded by seven mountain peaks, each adorned by a Nishan Sahib on its cliff, it is according to the Survey of India located in the Himalayas at an elevation of 4,160 meters (13,650 feet).It is approached from Govindghat on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway. The main town near Gobindghat is Joshimath. The altitude of the lake at Hemkund is approximately 13,650 feet.

Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) is a civil
service training institute on public policy and public administration in
India. The academy's main purpose is to train civil servants of the IAS
cadre and also conduct the Foundation Course of Group-A Central Civil
Services. After completion of training, the trainee officers of IAS
cadre are awarded an MA (Public administration) from Jawaharlal Nehru
University, Delhi. It has been functioning under the Ministry of
Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions since 1985. On April 15, 1958,
the then Union Home Minister Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant announced in
the Lok Sabha, that the Government would set up a National Academy of
Administration, where training would be given to all the recruits of the
Civil Services. The Ministry of Home Affairs also decided to amalgamate
the IAS Training School, Delhi and the IAS Staff College, Shimla to
form a National Academy of Administration to be set up in Mussoorie's
Charleville Estate. On the first day of September 1959 curtains were
drawn on the training in Metcalfe House.
