Ramadasu or Bhadrachala Ramadasu,was a 17th-century devotee of the Hindu god Rama, a saint-poet and a composer of Carnatic music. He is a famous Vaggeyakara (classical composer) from the Telugu classical era. He was born
in the village of Nelakondapalli in Khammam district, and orphaned as a
teenager. He spent his later years in Bhadrachalam and 12 years in solitary confinement at the
Golconda prison during the Qutb Shahi-rule. Different mythical stories about his life circulate in
the Telugu tradition. He is renowned for constructing the famous Sita Ramachandraswamy
Temple and pilgrimage center on the banks of river
Godavari at Bhadrachalam. His devotional kirtana lyrics to Rama illustrate the classical Pallavi,
Anupallavi and Caranam genre composed mostly in Telugu, some in Sanskrit and
with occasional use of Tamil language. These are famous in South Indian classical
music as Ramadaasu Keertanalu.He influenced later composers such as the doyen
of South Indian classical music and bhakti movement saint Tyagaraja. His songs continue to be sung at the Sita

Venkateswara Swami Vaari Temple is a Hindu temple situated in the hill
town of Tirumala at Tirupati in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The Temple is
dedicated to Venkateswara,
a form of Vishnu, who is believed to have appeared
here to save mankind from trials and troubles of Kali Yuga. Hence the place has also got
the name Kaliyuga Vaikuntha and the
Lord here is referred to as Kaliyuga Prathyaksha Daivam. The temple is also
known by other names like Tirumala Temple, Tirupati Temple, Tirupati Balaji
Temple. Venkateswara is known by many other names: Balaji, Govinda, and
Srinivasa.The temple is run by body Tirumala Tirupati
Devasthanams (TTD) which is under control of Andhra Pradesh
Government. The head of TTD is appointed by Andhra Pradesh Government. The
revenue from this shrine is used by Andhra Pradesh government.Tirumala Hills
are part of Seshachalam Hills range.
The hills are 853 metres above sea
level. The Hills comprises seven peaks, representing the seven heads
of Adisesha. The temple lies on the seventh
peak -Venkatadri, on
the southern banks of Sri Swami Pushkarini, a holy water tank. Hence the temple
is also referred to as "Temple of Seven Hills". Tirumala town covers
about 10.33 sq mi in area.

Temple is located in the town of Srikalahasti, in Tirupati district in the state
of Andhra Pradesh, India.
It is one of the most famous Shiva temples in South India, and is
said to be the site where Kannappa was ready to
offer both his eyes to cover blood flowing from the linga before Shiva stopped

famous for its Vayu Lingam (Wind Lingam), one of
the Panchabhoota Sthalams,

Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Temple or Srisailam Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the
deities Shiva and Parvati, located at Srisailam in Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is significant to the
Hindu sects of both Shaivism and Shaktism as this temple is referred
to as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of
Shiva and as one of the eighteen Shakti Peethas, centres of the Hindu
Goddess. Shiva is worshiped as Mallikarjuna, and is represented by
the lingam. His consort Parvati is depicted as
Bhramaramba. When Shiva and Parvati decided to find suitable brides for their sons. Shiva
got Buddhi (intellect), Siddhi (spiritual power), and Riddhi (prosperity)
married to Ganesha. Kartikeya on his return was enraged and went away to
stay alone on Mount Kraunja in the name of Kumarabrahmachari
. On seeing his father coming over to pacify him, he tried to
move to another place, but on the request of the Devas, stayed close by. The
place where Shiva and Parvati stayed came to be known as Shrishailam.

Satish Dhawan Space
Centre - SDSC formerly Sriharikota Range - SHAR is a rocket
launch centre (spaceport)
operated by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
It is located in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
Sriharikota Range was renamed in 2002 after ISRO's former chairman Satish Dhawan. Sriharikota island
was chosen in 1969 for a satellite launching station. The centre became
operational in 1971 when an RH-125 sounding rocket was
launched.The first attempted launch of an orbital satellite, Rohini 1A aboard
a Satellite Launch Vehicle, took place on 10 August 1979, but
due to a failure in thrust vectoring of the rocket's second stage, the
satellite's orbit decayed on 19 August 1979. SHAR was named as 'Satish
Dhawan Space Centre SHAR' (SDSC), on 5 September 2002, in memory of Satish
Dhawan, former Chairman of the ISRO.

Hindustan Shipyard
Limited (HSL) is a shipyard located in Visakhapatnam on the east coast of India
Founded as the Scindia Shipyard
, it was built by industrialist Walchand
Hirachand as a part of The Scindia
Steam Navigation Company Ltd. Walchand selected Visakhapatnam as
a suitable location for the construction of the yard and took possession of the
land in November 1940. The foundation stone for the shipyard was
laid by Dr.
Rajendra
Prasad on 21 June 1941, who was at that time the
acting Congress President. The first ship to be constructed
fully in India after independence was built at the Scindia Shipyard and named Jal
Usha
. It was launched in 1948 by Jawaharlal Nehru at a ceremony where the families of Seth Walchand
Hirachnd, late Narottam Morarjee, and Tulsidas
Kilachand, the partners of Scindia Shipyard, were present
along with other dignitaries and industrialists.

Dolphin's
Nose is a hill in Visakhapatnam between Yarada and Gangavaram Port. The hill is named Dolphin's Nose because it
resembles a dolphin's nose.It is a conspicuous land mark in Visakhapatnam. Dolphin's nose is a huge rocky head land which
is 174 meters high and 358 meters above sea level. The powerful beacon of the
light house set on this rock at sea directs ships 65 km away. Before
independence, the
British Army used it as a Military Camp. There is a Hindu
Temple, a Church, and a Mosque on a nearby hill. In 1804 British and French
forces fought the Battle of Vizagapatam near this hill. A lighthouse on this hill guided
ships to enter
Visakhapatnam Port.The
lighthouse currently uses 7 million candle power that covers up to a distance
of 64 kilometers.

Sri Varaha Lakshmi
Narasimha temple, Simhachalam is a Hindu temple situated on the Simhachalam
Hill Range, which is 300 metres above the sea level in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshipped there as Varaha Narasimha. As per the temple's legend, Vishnu manifested in this form
(lion's head and human body) after saving his devotee Prahlada from a murder attempt by the latter's father Hiranyakashipu. Except on Akshaya Trutiya, the idol of Varaha Narasimha is covered with sandalwood
paste throughout the year, which makes it resemble a linga. Simhachalam is one of the 32 Narasimha temples in
Andhra Pradesh which are important pilgrimage centres. It was regarded as an
important centre of Vaishnavism in the medieval period along with Srikurmam and others. The earliest inscription at the temple
belongs to 11th-century CE recording the gift by a private individual in the
era of Chola king Kulottunga I. In the later half of the 13th century, the temple complex
underwent radical physical changes during the reign of the Eastern
Ganga king Narasimhadeva I. Narahari Tirtha, a Dvaita philosopher and Eastern Ganga minister converted the Simhachalam temple into an educational establishment of renown and
a religious centre for Vaishnavism.

Sri Kurmam is a village near Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, India. Srikurmam village is situated at a distance of
14.5 km to the South-east of Srikakulam town. It is in the Gara mandal of Srikakulam district. The village was named after the Srikurmam
temple dedicated to Kurma avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu. Sri Kurmam (holy tortoise) is a famous place of
pilgrimage and the temple here is unique of its kind in the entire India. The
temple is noted for its architectural beauty and contains many inscriptions
ranging from the Eleventh Century A.D. to the Nineteenth Century A.D. According
to inscriptions in the temple dated 1281 AD, the holy place of
Kürmakshetra was re-established by Ramanujacharya under the influence of Jagannatha Deva at Jagannatha Puri. Later the temple came under the jurisdiction of the king of
Vijayanagara. The inscriptions throw light on the dynasties which held sway
over this region. The temple is dedicated to Sri Kurmanatha, the second avatar
of Vishnu, Kurma Avatar.
